R&A Clinic Celebrates the Launch of Sofwave
Thursday night, R&A Clinic welcomed friends, family and invited clients for a special evening celebrating the launch of Sofwave technology, an innovative, non-invasive ultrasound based device to tighten and lift skin.
The evening offered guests their first opportunity to explore the beautiful new R&A Clinic, whilst meeting the team, sampling freshly prepared food (restauranteur and chef Paulo on site) and of course washing it down with finest champagne or for those who were feeling truly indulgent- Nc’nean organic whisky, supplied by the distiller himself! Oh and the Sofwave science presented and a masterful demonstration given to show the power of the technology and the amazing outcomes. We had past clients present to share their experience of the treatment and heard from Rozina about why she had selected Sofwave for her practice.
For Rozina, it was also a rather special moment to see the R&A clinic she had created be filled with people, laughter and warmth.
“It was wonderful to open the doors of R&A and share my vision of a beautiful, welcoming, warm environment in which people can relax, trust the technology and have excellent aesthetic care delivered by medical professionals. It’s a sanctuary, a place of warmth, trust and care. Creating R&A, has been an enormous undertaking, so seeing the space full of people, conversation and enthusiasm was fulfilling, surprisingly relaxing and so much fun! It was Christmas come early!”
Introducing Sofwave at R&A
Sofwave is the latest technology to join R&A’s growing range of regenerative technologies, all designed to sculpt, tighten, lift and regenerate tissues in-situ. R&A wants to help you age gracefully, joyfully and beautifully.
Sofwave uses synchronised ultrasound waves to precisely penetrate the skin to 1.5mm depth and act on the collagen and tissue of the dermis to tighten and lift your skin. At the same time it stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin while the integrated cooling system protects the surface of the skin.
For selected patients, it offers a non-invasive approach to effecting an upper and lower facelift, for lax skin it can be used to profoundly improve skin quality, fine lines, wrinkles and skin elasticity. A full face and neck treatment will typically take around 30–40 minutes, with no significant downtime afterwards. Results develop gradually as the tissues respond and new collagen and elastin are produced, over the following weeks and up to around 12 weeks. One treatment is usually sufficient with results lasting upwards of a year, typically up
to 18 months. Only in older, more lax skins, is a second treatment required after 3-4 months.

Sofwave’s, gradual process of building collagen and elastin, converting zombie cells to younger more active ones is very much R&A’s approach to aesthetics: let’s work with what you’ve got, support and regenerate your own tissues, maintaining what is good and lifting, tightening, renewing where necessary to allow people to continue looking recognisably like themselves, just fresher. Seeing Sofwave in action
A highlight of the launch was a live treatment demonstration, giving our invited guests the chance to see Sofwave being used and witness the effect, the outcome and the satisfaction it brings. We also had previous patients on hand to privately or publicly share their own experiences. The evening also provided an opportunity for Rozina to explain where a treatment such as Sofwave fits within her wider approach to facial ageing.
